The Bisti/De-Na-Zin Wilderness park covers 44,600 acres of land and is
located 30 miles south of Farmington, New Mexico. Since 1984 the Bisti region of
the park has been administered by the Bureau of Land Management. The Bureau
of Land Management did not start administering the De-Na-Zin region until
1996. According to scientific research, the park was once roamed by
dinosaurs 70 million years ago.
